Why Did The Media Keep The Recent Peaceful Icelandic Revolution Quiet?

Saturday, 2 August 2014

Did you know about the peaceful Icelandic revolution that took place over the last 5 years? If you didn’t, it is likely because it was never televised or talked about very much at all on mainstream news. One would have to be part of the right websites or Facebook pages to even find out that this has been going on. Why is this the case? Why keep something so monumental hidden from the public?

7 Volcanoes Erupt Around The World Erupt Within Days Of Each Other

Monday, 25 November 2013
Volcano
Seven Volcanoes that are  thousands of miles from one another  all erupted within days of each other starting on November 17th 2013. Many of these eruptions were single day events almost as if earth was releasing energy in an intense but short purge.
Nov 17th. Possibly the most impressive eruptions took place in Italy at Mount Etna. The current eruption started a few days ago and has been getting stronger as time moves on. A massive eruption lit up the sky and disturbed residents yesterday and the ash cloud was high enough to see flights canceled. The lava flow was the biggest in years, and the town of Zafferana, which lay in its path, saw some damage. Lava diverters were put into place, and most of the town escaped unscathed.

19 Baby Steps Toward a Self Sufficient Lifestyle

Wednesday, 20 November 2013

The number one question I am asked by new readers is “where do I start?”. This is followed by a meek comment indicating “I have a job and a family and can not afford to move to a farm in the outback.”
Well first of all, let me say that no apologies are needed. None. Moving to a farm or even to the remote boonies is not for everyone, myself included. On the other hand, with some time, perseverance and a bit of hard work, we all can take steps to be self sufficient. And isn’isn't that what prepping is all about: being self sufficient so we can take care of our own needs no matter what?

Occupy Wall Street activists buy $15m of americans' personal debt
Wednesday, 13 November 2013

Occupy Wall StreetA group of Occupy Wall Street activists has bought almost $15m of Americans' personal debt over the last year as part of the Rolling Jubilee project to help people pay off their outstanding credit.

Rolling Jubilee, set up by Occupy's Strike Debt group following the street protests that swept the world in 2011, launched on 15 November 2012. The group purchases personal debt cheaply from banks before "abolishing" it, freeing individuals from their bills.

By purchasing the debt at knockdown prices the group has managed to free $14,734,569.87 of personal debt, mainly medical debt, spending only $400,000.

"We thought that the ratio would be about 20 to 1," said Andrew Ross, a member of Strike Debt and professor of social and cultural analysis at New York University. He said the team initially envisaged raising $50,000, which would have enabled it to buy $1m in debt.
"In fact we've been able to buy debt a lot more cheaply than that."

The group is able to buy debt so cheaply due to the nature of the "secondary debt market". If individuals consistently fail to pay bills from credit cards, loans, or medical insurance the bank or lender that issued the funds will eventually cut its losses by selling that debt to a third party. These sales occur for a fraction of the debt’s true values – typically for five cents on the dollar – and debt-buying companies then attempt to recoup the debt from the individual debtor and thus make a profit.

How do you define free energy? A cheap device that converts freely available background radiation into energy to run gadgets or charge batteries? No fossil fuel needed. No turbines need to be spun. A clean energy whether or not the sun shines or the wind blows. Sound about right?

Today, researchers from Duke University announced a breakthrough new device that harvests WiFi and converts it into direct current to charge batteries. The team achieved an astonishing energy conversion rate comparable to current solar panels.

19-year-old inventor finds way to clean up the world’s oceans in under 5 years time

Previously the idea of cleaning up the world’s oceans with their vast accumulations of disposed plastic material was considered an impossibility. Now a 19-year-old inventor says he and his foundation has a way to clean up the world’s oceans, and not only does he say we can do it, but that we can do it in five years time and produce a profit from it.

It is called the ‘Great Pacific Garbage Patch’ or sometimes the “Pacific Trash Vortex”, and it is a massive collection of plastic particles accumulating in the Pacific.  Other oceans have their own collections of plastic wastes as well; furthermore, most of the debris in our oceans are plastic materials that accounts for approximately 90% of all the waste debris.

World Bank Whistleblower Karen Hudes Reveals How The Global Elite Rule The World

Karen Hudes is a graduate of Yale Law School and she worked in the legal department of the World Bank for more than 20 years. In fact, when she was fired for blowing the whistle on corruption inside the World Bank, she held the position of Senior Counsel. She was in a unique position to see exactly how the global elite rule the world, and the information that she is now revealing to the public is absolutely stunning. According to Hudes, the elite use a very tight core of financial institutions and mega-corporations to dominate the planet.

Model Of Sustainability: Sweden Runs Out Of Garbage, Forced to Import From Norway

magine a world where pollution is a non-issue, cities are pristine, healthy environments to live in, and little to no entanglements from discarded trash injures wildlife or clogs the oceans. In Sweden, this is almost a reality, yet it’s causing a paradoxical predicament for the recycle-happy country that relies on waste to heat and provide electricity to hundreds of thousands of homes.
The Scandinavian nation of more than 9.5 million citizens has run out of garbage; while this is a positive – almost enviable – predicament for a country to be facing, Sweden now has to search for rubbish outside of its borders to generate its waste-to-energy incineration program. It’s namely Norway officials who are now shipping in 80,000 tons of refuse annually to fuel the country with outside waste.
